This course is designed for fifth-semester students. This is designed for equipping students with the skills to read English texts critically. In this course, students will learn how a certain text portrays a certain fact by which they can grasp the downsides and the upsides of each text. Steps that they will go through are: (1) learning basic elements and characteristics of various genres; (2) using the knowledge on the text genres, they will analyze texts critically in order to find out the uniqueness of the text.
